Vicky Krieps and Tim Roth in Bergman Island

The 74th edition is back on as an in-person event after sadly having to cancel last year’s due to the pandemic.

The film follows the story of an American couple who are filmmakers and have retreated to the mythical Fårö island for the Summer in the hopes of finding inspiration for their upcoming films. Drama unfolds when fascination for the island operates on Chris and souvenirs of her first love resurface.

Mia Hansen-Love is a French film director, screenwriter and actress. Hansen-Love’s film Father of My Children, premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section and won the Special Jury Prize – and in 2014 was awarded the Chevalier in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters).
